MnDOT Metro District
Investment summary
Over the next ten years, Metro District is projected to invest $3.6 billion in state highway projects. The majority of projects will address pavement and bridge condition as well as mobility improvements. MnDOT will also address roadside infrastructure (signage, culverts, and lighting), safety improvements, address pedestrian infrastructure that does not comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and bicycle infrastructure. Metro District investment peaks in 2023 at $595 million. Investment will roughly fluctuate between $245 and $595 million annually over the next ten years.
