Trail closure
Mon, March 10 through late October
- Regional trail running parallel to WB I-494 between Pilot Knob Rd. and American Blvd. is closed for reconstruction
- There is no planned detour for this closure. If you plan on utilizing this trail, please plan ahead as some nearby options may be unpaved or dirt trails

Lane closures

- EB I-494 is reduced to one lane between Hwy 5 to Hwy 13

- I-494 is reduced to two lanes in both directions between Hwy 5 to Hwy 13

About this project
MnDOT is doing work on the I-494 bridge over the Minnesota River. This 43-year-old bridge is in need of major repairs to continue to safely transport people and goods between the cities of Bloomington, Eagan, and Mendota Heights. Once construction is completed, travelers using the bridge will enjoy a smoother safer road. The project will also extend the life of the bridge and improve drainage.
