The signal lights at the intersections of Hwy 1/Third Avenue and Hwy 1/Central Avenue in Ely have reached the end of their useful life. MnDOT is conducting an intersection control evaluation (ICE) to determine what traffic control should replace them. We are doing our due diligence by studying multiple options.
MnDOT is hosting a public meeting on Monday, June 17, at 5 p.m. in the Ely City Hall Council Chambers, 209 E. Chapman St., Ely, MN 55731. Please join us to learn more about the study happening at the Hwy 1 and Central Avenue intersection and Hwy 1 and Third Avenue intersection.
Prior to the public meeting, MnDOT is hosting a meeting for downtown businesses owners on Monday, June 17, at 3 p.m. in the Ely City Hall Council Chambers. Please join us to learn more about the study happening at the two intersections.
