Current projects
Transportation Asset Management System
Asset Management Project Office is in the process of implementing a Statewide Enterprise Asset Management software called Transportation Asset Management System. TAMS will provide a home for more than 14 asset classes, have more than 1,900 users to train and support, and will provide data for $30 million in annual maintenance budget decisions.
Implementing TAMS includes major workflow and business process improvements for specialty areas like Hydraulics and Traffic. Traffic Signals, Lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have already been implemented and have about 100 users.
Georilla
Georilla is an internal web-map application that is currently being used by about 700 unique visitors per month to mash-up asset, project, and activity information to make better data-driven decisions. The Asset Management Project Office Supports the development and direction of Georilla.
Asset Management State of Practice
Along with the FHWA and a consultant, the Asset Management Project Office is currently conducting a state of practice assessment of asset management procedures for 11 different asset classes. This assessment will identify gaps in our practices and provide the agency with solutions and suggestions on how to improve our asset management program.
Statewide Mobile LiDAR Barrier Assessment Project
A $3.4 million Statewide Mobile LiDAR Barrier Assessment Project is currently in progress to capture inventory information for 13 asset classes and assess barrier deficiencies. The Asset Management Project Office is a project management partner, assuring data integrity and engaging asset stakeholders.
