Technical Assistance Committee (TAC)
The Technical Assistance Committee (TAC) is a collection of Rural and Small Urban Transit individuals who bring unique knowledge and skills to guide the MnDOT Office of Transit and Active Transportation (OTAT) more effectively. The advisory committee serves to make recommendations and/or provide key information and materials to OTAT. The advisory committee plays an important role in evaluating the performance of the transit programs, provides technical expertise, as well as providing program staff with a fresh perspective on programmatic issues. These meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
How we select transit projects
Project selection is the decision to fund a project and add it to the list of projects to be funded. Selected projects are listed in the 4-year Preliminary Project Report and the 4-year State Transportation Improvement Program.
MnDOT selects projects within categories based on types of projects and funding programs. Each category and program has a separate process to evaluate, prioritize and select projects.
