MnDOT invites Fergus Falls businesses to pre-construction workshop
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Ahead of the 2026 project to reconstruct Highway 210 west junction with Interstate 94 in Fergus Falls, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center, will host a free business workshop called “Thrive during Construction” on Monday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., for local business owners and leaders. The event will be held at M State in Legacy Hall, located at 1414 College Way.
The 90-minute session will be facilitated by SBDC business consultants who will discuss strategies and tactics to mitigate risk and help businesses thrive during the construction season. The first half of the workshop will cover business planning topics such as inventory control, cash flow management, staffing and scenario planning. The second half will focus on marketing and communication tactics.
Businesses in Fergus Falls, especially those within or near the work zone, are encouraged to participate in workshop.
