Lane closure on Hwy 23 near Roscoe begins May 13

WILLMAR, Minn. – Work to repair and improve drainage along Highway 23 near Roscoe begins May 13 and will continue for one to weeks, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crews will be installing pipe at Highway 23 and Stearns County Road 10, as well as increasing the depth of a pond control basin in the area. Work is being done as an extension of the Highway 23 North Gap project that was completed last year.

Traffic impacts

  • Beginning May 13, Highway 23 westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone near Roscoe.
  • County Road 10 will be detoured for up to two days when crews install pipe at the intersection of County Road 10 and Highway 23. The closure date is tentatively scheduled for late next week or early the week of May 20. Traffic will be routed to County Road 114 and its intersection with Main Street/County Road 10.
  • Travelers are encouraged to slow down in the work zone and be alert for workers and heavy equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

Start and end dates are subject to change depending on weather and other unforeseeable circumstances.
