Current
Road closures
March 31 through early summer
- Arcade St. is closed to through traffic in both directions between Frost Ave. and East Wheelock Pkwy.
- Arcade St. is closed to through traffic in both directions between Maryland Ave. East and York Ave.
- Detour: Larpenteur Ave., Edgerton St., Payne Ave. and East 7th St. (PNG)
- Local access on Arcade St. will be maintained during these closures
- Eastbound Wheelock Pkwy. is closed between Phalen Drive and Arcade St.

About this project
In March 2025, we began the two-year reconstruction project along East 7th St., and Arcade St. between I-94 in St. Paul and Roselawn Ave. in Maplewood. When complete, the new roadway will improve traffic flow, decrease traffic delays and improve safety on the road. Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2026.

Construction timeline
Construction will occur on Arcade St. During the 2025 construction season and on East 7th St. during the 2026 construction season.
- Stage 1 (spring through fall 2025): Arcade St. from East 7th St. to Roselawn Ave.
- Stage 2 (spring through fall 2026): E. 7th St. from I-94 to Minnehaha Ave.
