Bridge Office

Tasks:
- Scan and upload documents into electronic file system (eDOCS) or other databases
- Develop spreadsheets to record shop drawing records added to eDOCS and other bridge management systems
- Provide administrative support to internal staff including copying, scanning, printing, assembling materials, etc.
- Review shop drawing review data and make corrections when necessary

- Collect asset inventory using smart phone or iPad and enter data in compliance program
- Collect data on sidewalk, driveways, pedestrian ramps, crosswalks, trails, and push button stations
- Assist Project Manager with bid packages
- Coordinate with other collectors to ensure entire Right-of-Way is collected
- Assist inspectors on ADA Small Business program - verify ramp and sidewalk cross slope and running slope meet compliance

Tasks:
- Provide administrative support to staff including copying, scanning, printing, assembling materials, etc.
- Assist with scheduling meetings - prepare meeting rooms and provide virtual links as needed
- Review bridge and retaining wall plans and correct inventory data when necessary
- Organize and update bridge files to support the planning of bridge inspections
- Perform site visits, as desired, to better understand field operations
Metro - Surveys

- Prepare survey truck with supplies
- Carry and hammer survey stakes into the ground
- Use total station staff/reflector for measurement, assist with searching for property markers
- Assist crew with 3D scanner, scanning roads, walls, and sidewalks
- Use tape measure, electronic distance device, or level rod for measuring elevations
Office of Administration – Business Integration Automation

- Assist with lab testing for projects accurately and expediently according to MnDOT standards
- File, scan, upload, and download project field data, files, and plans
- Maintain files according to MnDOT standards and retention requirements
- Set up, operate, maintain, and monitor the performance of maintenance equipment
- Scan historic and research land record documents and archive electronic land records
- Assist with Right of Way packages by computing, calculating and comparing recorded and current measurements
- Use MicroStation to assist staff with various activities and drafting

Tasks:
- Conduct basic, standardized materials lab testing on materials for construction, design, maintenance or research
- Record test results and provide data to others to generate standardized reports
- File documents and ensure they are scanned to the appropriate folder/file and properly recorded
- Maintain appropriate paper files and keep files current by filling paper copies in a timely manner
- Determine existing road section using tools such as HPMA, construction logs, roadway history, and historical exploration, video log

Tasks:
- Assist field survey crew members with manual labor and technical work including carrying and pounding survey stakes
- Assist in survey measurement process, including setting up tripods, measuring with EDM prisms, and maintenance of survey equipment
- Scan documents and enter them into the Electronic Document Information Graphical System (eDIGS)
- Assist with bridge maintenance activity planning by helping maintain a spreadsheet of maintenance activities completed or perform a maintenance gap search
- Provide general support to the Bridge section including filing, copying, and data entry
- Assist with traffic counting program through data entry or field work
