Description:This is a two-day TTC Plan Development Course designed to enable the participants to obtain an understanding of the fundamental concepts and MnDOT standard practices related to the design of temporary traffic control plans for MnDOT let projects. Participants will receive a MnDOT Traffic Control Design Manual that serves as a reference and contains links to appropriate documents used in the development of a TTC Plan.
Audience: MnDOT, city, county, contractor, and consultant personnel involved in the management of temporary traffic control plans.
Designing safe work zones for non-motorized users

Description:This course will discuss why non-motorized user safety and accessibility must be provided in work zones. Participants will learn about applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards pertaining to accommodating non- motorized users in work zones. Participants will also learn about how to consider pedestrians, bicyclists, and other non-motorized users during the development and implementation of the temporary traffic control plan. The course will also discuss best practices and effective solutions for enhancing work zone safety and mobility for the non-motorized user.
