Reason for retiring the policy
This policy and associated guidelines are obsolete. The purpose of the policy was to “establish electronic business methods to allow outside businesses and governmental agencies to handle business transactions.” This goal has largely been accomplished by MnDOT’s use of email and many other applications that support doing business electronically. The guidelines preceded the creation of the Business Integration Section (BIS) and the guidelines have since been moved to the purview of BIS.
