Previous noise levels exceeded state/federal noise standards. This area previously ranked 6th in the MnDOT Metro 2016 Noise Abatement Study. The city of Eagan provided a resolution of support for this project and committed to a 10% cost share. A public meeting and voting process was held in September 2017.
