Highway 50

About this project

We will be repaving Hwy 50 to provide a smoother road surface, update drainage, improve safety by adding a right turn lane in Hampton Township, and improving accessibility by adding a pedestrian ramp and sidewalk in New Trier. This project is in coordination with the City of Hampton and the City of New Trier.

Summary of work

• Repave Hwy 50 from Hwy 52 in Hampton to Hwy 61 in Douglas Township
• Reconstruct Hwy 50 in New Trier between Hinton Ave. and Holt Ave.
• Add right turn lane at Co. Rd. 85/Goodwin Ave.
• Update drainage
• Improve accessibility at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Co. Rd. 85/Hogan Ave. in New Trier
• Repave 700 ft. of Hogan Ave. north from Hwy 50
• Relocate utilities
