2015 MAP-21 Rulemaking
2014-15 Proposed New Rules
Through provisions contained in MAP-21, the FHWA provided notice of the proposed issuance of rules and regulations. The purpose of the notice was to give interested persons an opportunity to participate in the rulemaking process prior to the adoption of the rule. MnDOT has been and will continue to serve as an active participant in reviewing the proposed rules. The table below shows the schedule of the various rules under consideration.

MnDOT comments on FHWA proposed rules
MAP-21 proposes a standard set of performance measures that state DOTs must to use to carry out the National Highway Performance Program. MnDOT has contributed to the FHWA proposed rulemaking on Performance Measures in its responses to the FHWA proposed rules for both the Asset Management Planning proposed rule and the Pavement and Bridge Condition Performance Measures proposed rule.
