Current traffic impacts

• Stage 1: First Avenue closed between 8th Street and 12th Street, and 11th Street closed between Second Ave North and Main Avenue, with Center Avenue remaining open to traffic.
  • Detour: 14th Street North, 2nd Ave N and 8th Street
• Residents/travelers can expect loud noises and vibrations throughout the area during piling operations.

Construction schedule

Construction will be completed in phases, starting in spring 2024 through fall 2026.

• 2024: Bridge construction and Stage 1 (portions of First Avenue & 11th Street at railroad crossings up to 2nd Ave N)
• 2025: Portion of Stage 1 (First Avenue) and Stage 2 (Main Avenue and 11th Street from 2nd to Main)
• 2026: Stage 3 (Center Avenue & 11th Street under bridges from Main to First)
