Westbound Highway 10 exit ramp to Haven Road in Little Falls remains closed following bridge damage
BAXTER, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists that the westbound Highway 10 exit ramp to Haven Road (Morrison County Road 76) on the south end of Little Falls will remain closed until further notice.
The closure, which began last month after a semi-truck struck the bridge over Highway 10, may extend into late spring as warmer temperatures are needed to safely perform heat straightening on the damaged girders.
“Once conditions allow us to begin work, we’ll take every step to ensure the bridge is structurally sound before reopening,” said Amer Abdulrazzak, MnDOT District 3 principal engineer of bridge and maintenance operations. “Safety comes first, and that means completing the necessary repairs and design checks to confirm the bridge can handle traffic.”
Motorists traveling westbound on Highway 10 should continue to the next exit at Highway 27 to access Little Falls.
MnDOT appreciates the public’s patience as crews work to restore the bridge.
