UPDATE: Bren Road ramps to and from Hwy 169 closed for 2 weeks
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Two ramps taking motorists to and from Bren Road in Edina and Minnetonka will close for two weeks.
The ramp from northbound Highway 169 to Bren Road will close starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 to 5 a.m. Friday Sept. 8. At midnight, Fri. Aug. 25, the ramp from Bren Road to southbound Highway 169 will close until 5 a.m. Sept. 8.
The closures were previously planned to start at 5 a.m. Aug. 25.
The bridge taking Bren Road over Highway 169 will remain open.
The closure will start at Highway 62. Motorists will take Highway 62 east to Shady Oak Road to get to Bren Road from southbound Highway 169. Motorists trying to get from Bren Road to Highway 169 will take Shady Oak Road to Highway 62 to Highway 169 south.
The ramps will be closed while crews do concrete work on the freeway south of the bridge.
Drivers should plan ahead and give themselves extra time.
These ramps carry thousands of vehicles a day to and from major employers in Minnetonka and Edina.
