ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a weekend closure on the Highway 96 bridge in White Bear Lake on June 23, weather permitting.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, June 23, the Highway 96 bridge will close at Interstate 35E. During the closure, traffic will not be able to cross the interstate, although the following movements will be allowed:

The bridge work is part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The work is expected to be complete by late summer 2017.
