Hwy 96 lane closures in east metro scheduled May 16 – 20
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter alternating lane closures on Highway 96 in White Bear Lake starting on Tuesday, May 16 through Saturday, May 20, weather permitting.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, westbound Highway 96 between Centerville Road and White Bear Parkway will be reduced to a single lane as crews repair and cure a concrete panel on the road.
All lanes are expected to re-open on Saturday, May 20.
The lane closures are part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The work is expected to be complete by late summer 2017.
