Construction projects
When a highway project impacts an existing junkyard or brings an existing junkyard to within one half-mile of highway right of way, MnDOT must address the issues and include the cost with other construction costs.
These tasks include:
- Determine if a junkyard will be impacted by the project. Consult the threshold criteria in the Transportation Project Development Process (TPDP) guidelines under subject guidance related to junkyard control and managing waste materials.
