Paving on Hwy 55 project begins June 27
WILLMAR, Minn. – Paving on the Highway 55 project is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Paving will occur on Highway 55 from Highway 22 to County Road 17 and the roadway will be reduced to one lane. A pilot car will be directing traffic. A width limit of 12 feet will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate short delays.
The Highway 55 project includes the resurfacing of Highway 55 from the Eden Valley/Meeker County line to the Stearns county line as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements along Highway 55. Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface as well as increased accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The estimated project cost is $2.1 million. Knife River is the contractor for both projects.
