Hwy 4 project detour extended to August 11
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 4 resurfacing project from Fairfax to the intersection of Highway 4 and Highway 68 started Monday, July 17. The project includes the resurfacing of Highway 4 for 13.4 miles, the replacement of two culverts, replacement of bridge approach panels and installation of new guardrail. It requires a short detour (map below). The road was expected to be opened to traffic on August 9, but due to wet weather, the detour needs to be extended to Friday, August 11 to complete work on the bridge.
