No travel advised in south central Minnesota

MnDOT plans to pull plows at dark
MANKATO, Minn. – (4 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has issued a NO TRAVEL ADVISED effective at 4 p.m. today, February 7 in south central Minnesota.  MnDOT will be pulling it’s plows at dark due to strong winds creating near zero and at times white-out conditions making it unsafe for it’s drivers.
Counties included in the advisory include (MnDOT District 7):

  • Blue Earth
  • Brown
  • Cottonwood
  • Faribault
  • Jackson
  • Martin
  • Nicollet
  • Nobles
  • Rock
  • Sibley
  • Waseca
  • Watonwan

Le Sueur County is the only county in MnDOT District 7 not experiencing the dangerous winds.  Motorists in Le Sueur are advised to continue to drive with caution.
No state highways are closed at this time.
