MANKATO, Minn. – (3:45 p.m.) Motorists are advised that Highway 30 east of Blue Earth County Road 14 is be restricted to a stop and go situation as flood waters approach one lane of the two-lane highway.
MnDOT crews have installed temporary stop lights to guide traffic safely through the area, but motorists are advised to slow down and drive with caution. The restrictions will remain in place until the water subsides.
The flooding appears to be caused by backwaters from a nearby river ponding on the south side of Highway 30.
