West frontage road between 3rd St. SW & 6th St. SW in Rochester will close August 1 for concrete repairs
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists in Rochester be alert, the west frontage road along Hwy 52 between 3rd St. SW and 6th St. SW is expected to close for two days beginning Tue, August 1 at 8 a.m. to allow crews to make concrete repairs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Access to the southbound Hwy 52 on-ramp at 2nd St. SW will remain open during the repairs.
Barriers will be placed near 2nd St. SW and 3rd St. SW to prevent motorists from entering the work zone. Signs will also be put up to direct local traffic around the area of the closed frontage road.
Crews will remove and replace a concrete storm water catch basin near the intersection of 3rd St. SW and west frontage road. Work is expected to be complete by Wed, August 2 at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
